Welcome to the MA:E Blog
A note from the founders.
Dearest Reader,
On September 22nd 2019, the four of us got together at our first meeting to decide what we wanted to dedicate our semester-long project to. One week later, MA:E’s mission was declared: to engage, express, and empower the APIDA community. Fast forward four months and MA:E has expanded to encompass over 70 creatives. In hindsight, it’s hard to imagine how we would’ve reacted had we known where we’d be in just a few short months. Entirely the brain child of our combined passions, MA:E has blossomed into all we could have hoped for.
We would like to reiterate how truly humbled we feel to have received your love and support for the past few months. As we continue to work out all of the kinks that accompany the process of establishing a new organization, thank you for bearing with us and sticking by our side! You are just as important to the creation of MA:E as the creators themselves.
With that being said, we are very pleased to finally be able to formally launch our official blog! Going into this, our primary goal is to further develop a space for members of the APIDA community at UMich to share their interests, ideas, and stories with the world. From the get-go we have aimed to cultivate a community in which every individual feels heard and reassured by the fact that our space is judgement-free. Thus, we decided to develop a platform in which whoever wants to take the plunge by sharing a part of themselves is able to do so. This blog is a place where anybody can be a content creator, regardless of level of experience or expertise- so we encourage each and every one of you to lend your voice and your narrative to us, knowing that there are countless people who eagerly await the privilege of getting to know you.
So whether you have a list of product recommendations, a new recipe to share, or even just a brain dump of whatever precious thoughts and ideas you have that you want to impart upon others, take this as your formal invitation to make this blog whatever you want it to be. We can’t wait to meet you.
Stay aMA:Ezing!
